Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has increased attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the city experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were preparing for further attacks.
